Many puffins were observed flying round the islands today, often carrying a beak full of fish in order to feed their young. This did not go unnoticed by the islands other occupants however. Arctic skuas lay in wait this time of year, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting puffins that are returning to the provide a much needed meal for the pufflings. Many puffins were forced to dive in the water to escape the attacks, dropping their offspring's meal in the process to put an end to the chase.
